Power Production

VAWT - Vind Turbin C.O. describes energy production on a kWh/year basis, not nominal or rated power.  kWh/year is the only reliable measurement of potential power production for all types of wind systems.  The figures we display here & in our literature are composite production figures based on measurements from worldwide installations under real life circumstances.

Commonly used maximum rated or nominal power has very little to do with real life results.  To have an rough idea of power production, it is critical to determine the annual kWh a turbine is likely to produce at different wind speeds.  Then calculate using the installation area's wind speed data.

Several factors affect annual production such as wind speed, installation location, height of the mast, surrounding buildings and trees, turbulence, air density, temperature, wind shear, and electrical configuration of the turbine system.

Turbine Model Annual kWh output at average wind speed of 5 m/s
Annual kWh output at average wind speed of 7,5 m/s
Annual kWh output at average wind speed of 10 m/s
